WSD Oven Update
Wisconsin Shower Door prides itself on delivering quality custom fabricated glass and mirror products in a timely manner. Disruptions happen in any business, and we have recently experienced a significant one affecting our tempering oven. Our goal is to be transparent and manage expectations for our dealers and your customers.
We are thankful for the relationships we have within the glass industry to meet the majority of our tempering needs. WSD is committed to providing materials in a timely manner, but you will notice increased lead times for tempered goods until this matter is resolved.
While most of our tempering needs are being met, there are products that we cannot offer at this time. We regret that we are unable to satisfy any requests for products that contain 1/8” tempered glass. We are actively exploring alternate sources to be able to offer these products before our oven is repaired.
The tempering oven repairs and associated production changes remain a highly fluid situation. We are continually evaluating and adjusting to challenges to maintain the flow of orders, communicate realistic expectations, and minimize the impact on our dealers and your customers. Our target date to be tempering in-house is November 1.

Wisconsin Shower Door
Wisconsin Shower Door has continued to experience supplier increases over the past several months. Fortunately, the frequency of those increases has slowed down considerably. However, these increases can no longer continue to be absorbed and we have had to adjust our pricing.
These increases will go into effect May 1, 2023. Price books are available online through our website. Direct links to the price books are listed below. Please download, save, and print your copy using the links below.
In addition to the price book changes, we have updated our Energy Surcharge rates. Supplier energy surcharges have remained high and our existing rates no longer reflect the energy used by suppliers to manufacture stock sheet goods.

UPDATE – Mirror sales have resumed! We are proud to announce Saand as our primary mirror supplier. Cut-to-size orders and stock sheet orders are being taken. Please allow for additional lead times as we work through our backlog of orders.
Effective immediately (09/23/22), Wisconsin Shower Door is temporarily suspending all sales of 3/16″ & 1/4″ Clear Mirror products. The suspension of sales will last until quality issues are resolved with our supplier. We do not take the suspension of any product lightly as we know the trouble this causes you and your customers.
Effective immediately, we are no longer able to sell stock sheets of single-strength (SS) or double-strength (DS) clear plate. Supply limitations from our primary source have caused us to limit our offerings and seek alternative sources. We are also having to adjust our cut-to-size (annealed & tempered) pricing for these two products to reflect the change in suppliers. Adjusted pricing is listed below (online price book reflect this change).

Reminder – new pricing has gone into effect starting today (06/27/22)
Velour Pricing – has been increased. We received a substantial price increase on our velour products late last week that we worked into the price increase effective today. Please refer to the online price books for the most current pricing.
Supplier News – We are aware that a couple of major glass suppliers in the industry have upcoming meetings planned in the next few weeks. One has indicated that they are expecting to pass along a price increase following that meeting. Expect more changes to come.
Late last week, one of the major suppliers of flat glass products sent an unprecedented price increase to US & Canadian customers. The price increase was also given with short notice, leaving us scrambling in response. We have contacted all our other suppliers to assess their position. Right now, our other suppliers are holding their prices, but we may have to act quickly if additional industry changes are made.
On June 27, a price increase will be targeted at the affected products. Our goal is to be as narrow as possible in passing along these increased costs. The new pricing is available on the Dealer Portal page. The nature of this price increase has caused us to evaluate and shorten the valid quote duration to 15 days.
Just as we have been reviewing the Energy Surcharge, we will continue to do so considering last week’s announcement. We will closely monitor and make any necessary adjustments to keep our energy surcharge in line with the rising energy costs used to manufacture glass.
We will keep you informed as best as we can on the changes in the glass industry and will strive to keep our response as narrow as possible.

After a tumultuous couple of years of price increases and inflation, raw material shortages, supply chain & logistics issues, and difficulties in finding labor we are having to pass along a price increase – again. We don’t enjoy this prospect any more than you and we do our best to limit the impact on our customers. Below you will find updated pricing for both our Flat Glass and Shower Door pricing. The new pricing will take effect on May 23, 2022.

In order to keep more accurate records of application, effective April 1, 2022, the EnduroShield Warranty Activation Code will be located on your shower door’s green packing slip.
Please share this code with your customer so they can register their warranty at www.enduroshield.com.

The glass industry has experienced a significant increase in demand that has lead to supply shortages, delays, and price increases.
